The last 3 days have been so awesome. I am a part of the ChickTech Chicago leadership team - and we just organized our first annual ACT-W Chicago Conference (Oct 13-15 2016). The ACT-W conference is for advancing the careers of technical women and is organized by ChickTech chapters around the country. All profits from the conference go directly to providing free technology workshops to high school girls (through the ChickTech High School program).
At the conference, we had some great speakers, an awesome career fair, resume reviews, mock interviews, and free profressional headshots! Being part of the core organization committee is a LOT of work and is tiring. However, I left the conference feeling energized, re-inspired, and looking forward to organizing the conference next year!
There's so much awesomeness I want to share - and I'll probably write some indepth blog posts later. For now, here's a recap of the conference from social media.
